The Xbox One’s built-in gameplay capture feature is going to receive an upgrade to 1080p. Since the console was released, players have been stuck with 720p 30 fps recordings, though the more recent Xbox One X offers 4K recording. Along with improving the quality of game recordings, Microsoft will let users save directly to an external hard drive.
Videos up to 1 hour can be recorded at 1080p, according to Microsoft’s Mike Ybarra.
This update is currently only available to Alpha Insiders, but it should head out to everyone later in 2017.
