Uber ignored warnings from government officials in California when it began operating autonomous vehicles in San Francisco, reports The Verge. According to email records, Uber repeatedly ignored requests to register with the state’s autonomous car program.

After this situation continued for a period of time, the California DMV decided to revoke registrations for the vehicles. Uber then killed the program in San Francisco and moved the vehicles to Arizona.

This kind of disregard for local regulations, regardless of Uber being in the right or not, has repeatedly been an issue for the company.
