Although Tesla officially got rid of its free Supercharger access offer for new customers starting January 15, Tesla is partly walking back that change. It’s now letting any existing Tesla owner receive free, unlimited access to the Supercharger network. And if a current customer upgrades to a new Model S or Model X in the future, they’ll also receive free charging.

Entirely new customers can receive free charging, but they’ll need to jump through some hoops. You’ll have to find an existing customer who wants to gift you free access. Users are limited to sharing their Supercharger access with five other buyers.
