Tesla’s Model S P100D has proven to be remarkably impressive in the realm of performance, but having that kind of power isn’t of interest to all consumers. That’s why the company is now selling 100D versions of its Model S and Model X.

Rather than boost performance over the 90D models, the 100D models improve their range. The Model S 100D has a 335 mile range (up from the P100D’s 315 miles) and the Model X jumps to 295 miles (up from the P100D’s 289 miles).

If you’re mainly interested in maximizing your vehicle’s battery and not its drivetrain, the 100D models may be a better choice than the P100D vehicles.
