Samsung Pay, the company’s mobile payment system for its Galaxy and Gear devices, isn’t expected to reach the UK until next year. Due to Samsung being “tied up amid negotiations with banks,” The Telegraph reports a launch will probably occur sometime in 2017.

Consumers in the US, South Korea, Australia, and a number of other countries already have access to Samsung Pay.

A continued benefit of using Samsung Pay rather than its rivals from Apple and Google is that the service supports MST technology, not just NFC. This allows it to work with a wider range of payment terminals.
