Next year’s Galaxy S8 needs to restore some of Samsung’s reputation and it may do so with an improved edge-to-edge OLED display. Samsung engineer Park Won-sang hinted at the existence of a 90% screen-to-body ratio display while at the iMID Display Exhibition.
Samsung Display would roll out a full-screen display whose display area ratio (a scale that measures space taken up by a display on the front part of a handset) reaches more than 90 percent next year.

He didn’t confirm the display would be found on the Galaxy S8, but some reports have indicated it will. The phone is also said to include an improved camera and a longer-lasting battery.
Samsung has already made the general transition to OLED with its flagship phones and the entire market appears to be headed in the same direction, with Apple also expected to use an OLED panel for the iPhone 8.
