The PlayStation 4 performed better than any other console in the UK in 2016, reports trade body UKIE and Chart-Track. Around 45% of boxed games sold in the country were for Sony’s console, while the Xbox One had a 34.1% share. Nintendo’s 3DS grabbed 7%.

Game sales overall were down 16.4% last year compared to 2015, bringing them to £776 million.

As for specific games, Grand Theft Auto V wasn’t the top game in 2016, but it did beat out Uncharted 4. GTA 5 was the fifth best-selling physical game even though it’s been out for over two years on the latest platforms.

FIFA 17 came out on top, beating Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. The third and fourth place titles were Battlefield 1 and The Division.
