New reports are saying that OnePlus won’t release the OnePlus 4 next year. The reason is because the number 4 is considered to be unlucky in China, so the company will go with the OnePlus 5 name for its next flagship. Besides the new name, the report has also shed some light on the phone.
The biggest difference to the current OnePlus 3T is the new chassis. Unlike metal body, the new flagship smartphone will have a ceramic body, which is a much better solution for 5G signals. Other advantages include greater durability and higher resistance to scratches and extreme temperatures.
Expect to see it in the second quarter of 2017, with a 5.5-inch Optic AMOLED display and Quad HD resolution, a Snapdragon 835 chipset, 6 GB of LPDDR4 RAM, and Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.
