Microsoft’s acquisition of LinkedIn is now complete. Approval from the necessary European authorities was provided earlier this week and now the $26.2 billion deal has closed. Microsoft’s purchase of the business social network was announced six months ago and is the largest acquisition it has ever carried out.

Together, the companies will work on cloud products, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.

LinkedIn users won’t notice any difference under the new ownership, says CEO Jeff Weiner.

I’m more confident than ever that our move to join forces with Microsoft will accelerate our mission to connect the world’s professionals to make them more productive and successful, and ultimately help create economic opportunity for every member of the global workforce,
– Weiner
