The latest NSA exploits revealed by The Shadow Brokers that pertain to Windows have been patched, says Microsoft. Within hours of the hacking group revealing a range of vulnerabilities, Microsoft responded by noting the vulnerabilities had already been addressed.
We’ve investigated and confirmed that the exploits disclosed by the Shadow Brokers have already been addressed by previous updates to our supported products. Customers with up-to-date software are already protected.
A lot of people were concerned when the exploits were first revealed. It seemed as though they could affect Windows 10 and NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden initially claimed they affected “many fully-patched Windows systems.”
