Current VR headset solutions are very expensive, but Lenovo hopes to change that with the announcement of inexpensive VR headset that is built for the Windows Holographic platform. The headset will start shipping “later this year” and is expected to cost less than $400.

The headset comes with two OLED panels that have 1,440 x 1,440 pixels resolution, which is higher than both the Rift and Vive, and weighs only 350g. There are two front-mounted cameras that might enable AR in the future. The company did not include any motion controllers, but the headset is compatible with other Windows Holographic peripherals.
