Huawei believes it’ll be in a good position to compete against Apple and Samsung once its Kirin 960 chip enters the market. That processor is first going to appear in the Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro, which are due this October. According to the company, the Kirin 960 will offer better performance than what’s coming from the latest competing products.
Compared with Samsung and Apple, we have advantages…Users are in for much faster (feature) performance, longer battery life and more compact design.
One of the claims made by the company is that the chip “will preserve battery life on phones by up to 50 percent.”
Those statements were made by Huawei executive Richard Yu during an interview at IFA.
