HP Elite x3 is a great smartphone, but the device is aimed at businesses and not many users want to pay that much for a Windows 10 Mobile smartphone. Therefore, the company is now working on a mid-range version of the Elite x3 that is going to be powered by Snapdragon 600 series processor.
Although many fans expected to see Snapdragon 821, the use of a Snapdragon 600 series processor also means lower price and with Windows 10 Mobile’s market share of 1%, this is definitely necessary.
Microsoft might not have any new smartphone in the works, except for the Surface Phone, but the company will continue to support the platform and all those companies willing to launch new products powered by its mobile platform. This means that the new HP phone will also support the Continuum and Desk Dock features.
