Google has added a “how to vote” feature to its search engine, allowing people to easily figure out the requirements for voting in their state. When entering “how to vote” and similar search terms, Google will present you with your area’s voting laws as well as information about how and when to vote.

It also provides information about how you may be able to vote early or receive an absentee ballot. For first-time voters, the info could be particularly useful.

Google also released a new interactive map showing how interest in voter registration has changed since the 2012 election. Searches related to voter registration have increased in nearly every state and often by 100-200% or more.
